Artanish (Armenian: Արտանիշ; Azerbaijani: Ardanış, anglicized: Ardanysh) is a village in the Gegharkunik Province of Armenia. The village was populated by Azerbaijanis before the exodus of Azerbaijanis from Armenia after the outbreak of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.[2] In 1988-1989 Armenian refugees from Azerbaijan settled in the village.[2] On a hill just to the west are the ruins of cyclopean fortresses, and nearby is a church and a cemetery.[3]
