Two coal fired power stations are operational and are said to be damaging health via air pollution.[3] A third is proposed.

Afşin (gesprochen Afschin) ist eine Stadtgemeinde (Belediye) im gleichnamigen Ilçe (Landkreis) der Provinz Kahramanmaraş in der türkischen Mittelmeerregion und gleichzeitig ein Stadtbezirk der 2012 gebildeten Büyükşehir belediyesi Kahramanmaraş (Großstadtgemeinde/Metropolprovinz).
