Babolsar County (Persian: شهرستان بابلسر) is located in Mazandaran province, Iran, on the Caspian Sea. The capital of the county is Babolsar. At the 2006 census, the county's population (including those portions of the county later split off to form Fereydunkenar County) was 172,600, in 46,595 families.[2] At the 2016 census, the county's population was 135,191, in 44,482 families.[3]
