In 2021, archaeologists discovered late Roman and early Byzantine houses, with inscriptions and mosaics.[3]

İncesu ist eine Stadtgemeinde (Belediye) im gleichnamigen Ilçe (Landkreis) der Provinz Kayseri in der türkischen Region Zentralanatolien und gleichzeitig ein Stadtbezirk der 1988 gebildeten Büyükşehir belediyesi Kayseri (Großstadtgemeinde/Metropolprovinz). Seit der Gebietsreform 2013 ist die Gemeinde flächen- und einwohnermäßig identisch mit dem Landkreis. İncesu liegt etwa 30 Kilometer südwestlich der Provinzhauptstadt Kayseri. Die im Stadtlogo manifestierte Jahreszahl (1876) dürfte ein Hinweis auf das Jahr der Erhebung zur Stadtgemeinde (Belediye) sein.- [en] İncesu, Kayseri
