History

Blooming Grove Township was largely settled after the War of 1812.[4]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 21.53 square miles (55.8 km²), of which 21.49 square miles (55.7 km²) (or 99.81%) is land and 0.04 square miles (0.10 km²) (or 0.19%) is water.[3] Shady Lake is in this township.
