Saral is a village and union council, an administrative subdivision, of Chakwal District in the Punjab Province of Pakistan, it is part of Chakwal Tehsil.[1] The village has a mughal majority. In the British era, the village was known for its landlords and politics. Since then, its people are well to do and active in both local and national level politics

History

In the British there was a Mughal tribal chief Shalam Khan who was a well known landlord and he played a vital role in 1857's movement against British know his descendents are also known as shalmals (descendents of shalam), and these shalmals are still the major stakeholders of the area.During late 19th century when almost whole chakwal was taking loans from sikh trade merchants siral was one of the very few villages which was not attracted by loan trap of sikh traders.
