Zhanibek (Kazakh: Жәнібек, Jänıbek; Russian: Жанибек) is a town in far north-western Kazakhstan on the border with Volgograd Oblast, Russia. It is the administrative center of Zhanybek District in West Kazakhstan Region. Population: 7,460 (2009 Census results);[1] 7,580 (1999 Census results).[1] It is served by railway.
