Sie grenzt im Nordwesten an Poigny, im Norden an Provins, im Osten an Sourdun, im Süden an Soisy-Bouy und im Westen an Sainte-Colombe. Die Bewohner nennen sich Chalautriers. In Chalautre-la-Petite fließt ein Bach namens Ruisseau des Méances.
