Kronoby (Finnish: Kruunupyy) is a municipality of Finland. It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Ostrobothnia region. The municipality has a population of 6,439 (31 December 2021)[2] and covers an area of 752.65 square kilometres (290.60 sq mi) of which 40.3 km2 (15.6 sq mi) is water.[1] The population density is 9.04 inhabitants per square kilometre (23.4/sq mi). The municipality is bilingual, with the majority speaking Swedish (83.3%) and the minority Finnish (15.6%).
