Demographics
In the 2021 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, Division No. 11 had a population of 1,462,041 living in 565,756 of its 609,810 total private dwellings, a change of 7% from its 2016 population of 1,366,050. With a land area of 15,746.42 km2 (6,079.73 sq mi), it had a population density of 92.8/km2 (240.5/sq mi) in 2021.[4]
