Demographics
In the 2021 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, Division No. 8 had a population of 213,470 living in 83,983 of its 92,439 total private dwellings, a change of 1.9% from its 2016 population of 209,395. With a land area of 9,890.05 km2 (3,818.57 sq mi), it had a population density of 21.6/km2 (55.9/sq mi) in 2021.[5]
