Casciago borders the following municipalities: Barasso, Gavirate, Luvinate, Varese.
Casciago could very well be the location of the ancient Cassiciacum, where Saint Augustine and a few friends lived together in a kind of philosophical commune after Augustine's conversion to Christianity.[4]
