Carnago is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Varese in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 40 km (25 mi) northwest of Milan and about 11 km (6.8 mi) south of Varese. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 5,831 and an area of 6.2 km2 (2.4 sq mi).[3]
