Tabas County (Persian: شهرستان طبس) is located in South Khorasan province, Iran. The capital of the county is Tabas.[1] At the 2006 census, the county's population was 63,047, in 16,845 households.[2] At the 2016 census, the county's population was 72,617, in 22,142 households.[3]

Tabas County was a part of Ferdows County until July 1960.[4] At first, it was a part of the Khorasan province, but moved to Yazd Province in 2001.[5] Finally it is moved to South Khorasan Province in 2013.[1]
