"Märkische Heide" or "Brandenburg Lied" is the title of a well-known German song, whose text mainly praises the beauty of the local countryside.[4] The Chilean military song Mi fusil y yo adopted its melody.[5]

Märkische Heide, niedersorbisch Markojska góla, ist eine Gemeinde im Landkreis Dahme-Spreewald in Brandenburg. Die Gemeinde Märkische Heide in der Niederlausitz zählt mit über 200 km² zu den flächengrößten in Deutschland und gehört teilweise zum anerkannten Siedlungsgebiet der Sorben/Wenden.
