Der Kanton Marquise war bis 2015 ein französischer Kanton im Arrondissement Boulogne-sur-Mer, im Département Pas-de-Calais und in der Region Nord-Pas-de-Calais. Sein Hauptort war Marquise. Vertreter im Generalrat des Départements war zuletzt von 1988 bis 2015 Martial Herbert (PS). Der Kanton Marquise war 183,34 km² groß und hatte 20.561 Einwohner (Stand: 1999), was einer Bevölkerungsdichte von rund 112 Einwohnern pro km² entsprach. Er lag im Mittel 72 Meter über Normalnull, zwischen 22 Metern in Ambleteuse und 163 Metern in Leubringhen.[en] Canton of Marquise
The canton of Marquise is a former canton situated in the department of the Pas-de-Calais and in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region of northern France. It was disbanded following the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. It consisted of 21 communes, which joined the canton of Desvres in 2015.[1] It had a total of 21,997 inhabitants (2012).[2][fr] Canton de Marquise
