Floirac (French pronunciation: [flwaʁak]) is a commune in the Charente-Maritime department in southwestern France. On 1 January 2018, the former commune of Saint-Romain-sur-Gironde was merged into Floirac.[2] Floirac is situated in the Charente-Maritime department and Poitou-Charentes region (now part of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region), in the west of France at 82 kilometers from La Rochelle, the department capital. Floirac is 443 kilometers from Paris.[3]
