Histoire

Le comté a été formé en 1849 à partir du comté de Stokes. Il a été nommé en l'honneur de Benjamin Forsyth (en), tué à la guerre de 1812.

Its county seat is Winston-Salem.[2] Forsyth County is part of the Winston-Salem, NC, Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Greensboro-Winston-Salem-High Point, NC, Combined Statistical Area. Portions of Forsyth County are in the Yadkin Valley wine region.
