Winterbury is an unincorporated community in New Castle County, Delaware, United States.[2][1] Winterbury is located northeast of Delaware Route 41 (Newport and Gap Turnpike) southeast of the intersection with Loveville Road to the southeast of Hockessin. Hyde Run lies at it eastern edge. Six miles northwest of Wilmington,[3] the community was developed in the late 1950s on former farm land and originally planned to include 40 homes.[4]
