Wildcat was the post office serving Wildcat Creek (a tributary of Goose Creek) in Clay County, Kentucky, United States.[2] Traditional accounts are that the creek was named in 1815 for wild cats, the favorite target for hunters who settled there.[2] The post office itself was established on September 13, 1930, by the first postmaster, Lillie B. Hacker, and located at the mouth of the creek; it closed in August 1985.[2]
