History


The village is named for Michael Ohlman, a Civil War captain of a Mississippi River steamboat. The settlement was located on the Chicago and Eastern Illinois Railroad.[3]


Geography


According to the 2010 census, Ohlman has a total area of 0.38 square miles (0.98 km2), all land.[4]
