Garner is located at the junction of Kentucky Route 550 and Kentucky Route 1697 3.4 miles (5.5 km) east-northeast of Hindman.[2] Garner had a post office, which closed on November 12, 2011; it still has its own ZIP code, 41817.[3][4]
