Connerton was built as a large housing development in 1923 by Buffalo labor racketeer William "Fingy" Conners.[3] The development was stunted with the downturn in the housing market, after a small portion of the full scale residential development was built out.[4] As of 2012 construction plans were once again moving ahead.[5]
