Secrest Ferry Bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.[3]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 36.35 square miles (94.1 km²), of which 36.34 square miles (94.1 km²) (or 99.97%) is land and 0.01 square miles (0.026 km²) (or 0.03%) is water.[2] The White River defines the northwest boundary of the township.
