Gwbert-on-Sea o semplicemente Gwbert (pron.: [ˈɡubɛrt]) è un villaggio costiero del Galles sud-occidentale, facente parte della contea di Ceredigion (contea tradizionale: Dyfed) ed affacciato sulla baia di Cardigan (Mare d'Irlanda)[1][2], nei pressi dell'estuario del fiume Teifi[1][3]. Dal punto di vista amministrativo, si tratta di una frazione della community di Y Ferwig.

Il toponimo Gwbert deriva forse dal nome di un santo, San Cuberto.[4][5]

Gwbert-on-Sea si trova nella parte meridionale della contea del Ceredigion, al confine con il Pembrokeshire[2], a circa 2 miglia[3][6] a nord di Cardigan, di cui secondo molti costituirebbe una sorta di sobborgo[6]

Al largo della località, posta su una scogliera[1], si trova Cardigan Island.[3][7]

Gwbert (Welsh pronunciation: [ˈɡubɛrt]), also known as Gwbert-on-Sea, is a cliff-top coastal village in Y Ferwig community, Ceredigion, Wales. It lies at the most southerly coastal point of Ceredigion, on the eastern shore of the Teifi estuary, from where there are views westwards over Cardigan Bay, and south-westwards to Poppit Sands and the headland of Cemaes Head, in neighbouring Pembrokeshire. It is reached by the B4548 road from the town of Cardigan (Welsh: Aberteifi), 2.8 miles (4.5 km) away.
