The village is near the Archaeological site of Atapuerca, designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000. Regional policy is to promote sustainable tourism in the villages surrounding the World Heritage Site,[2] and there is a Site Access Centre (CAYAC) in Ibeas de Juarros.[3]

Ibeas de Juarros es una localidad y un municipio[1] situados en la provincia de Burgos, Castilla la Vieja, en la comunidad autónoma de Castilla y León (España), comarca de Alfoz de Burgos, partido judicial de Burgos, cabecera del ayuntamiento de su nombre.
