Es Migjorn Gran ist eine Gemeinde auf der spanischen Baleareninsel Menorca. Am 1. Januar 2019 lebten 1405 Einwohner in der Gemeinde. Es Migjorn Gran ist seit der Abspaltung von Es Mercadal im Jahre 1989 eine selbständige Gemeinde. Der Ort Es Migjorn Gran hatte bis dahin San Cristobal geheißen.

Lage der Gemeinde

Im Gemeindegebiet befinden sich die Feriensiedlung Sant Tomàs, die größte Höhle Menorcas, die Cova des Coloms, sowie mehrere archäologische Fundstätten, z. B. das Hypostyl Es Galliner de Madona, das talayotische Dorf von Sant Agustí, die Taula von Binicodrell Nou und die Talayots von Binicodrell und Es Mestall.

Es Migjorn Gran is a small municipality in southern Menorca in the Spanish Balearic Islands. Formerly incorporated into the municipality of Es Mercadal, it is currently the island's newest and second-smallest municipal district. The main inland village of Es Migjorn Gran is surrounded by small pine-clad hills, and the coast is home to a small variety of tourist resorts and unspolit beaches, Santo Tomas being the principal resort. There are many 'calas' or coves that are encompassed by pine-covered cliffs along the coast, where there are small sandy beaches only accessible by foot or by sea, which mean they are very rarely busy.[2]

A orillas del mar Mediterráneo, este municipio limita con los de Ferrerías, el Mercadal y Alayor.
