Kurkent (Russian: Куркент; Lezgian: Курхуьр) is a rural locality (a selo) in Suleyman-Stalsky District, Republic of Dagestan, Russia. The population was 4,071 as of 2010.[2] There are 30 streets.[3]

Kurkent is located on the left bank of the Chiragchay River, 194 km (121 mi) southeast of Makhachkala[4] and 6 km (3.7 mi) northwest of Kasumkent (the district's administrative centre) by road. Saidkent is the nearest rural locality.[5]
