Der Distrikt Callao (auch Cercado del Callao genannt) liegt in der konstitutionellen Provinz Callao an der Pazifikküste von West-Peru. Der Distrikt hat eine Fläche von 45,65 km². Geographische Lage
Der Distrikt Callao erstreckt sich über den südlichen Teil der Provinz Callao. Der Río Chillón bildet die nördliche Distriktgrenze. Der Río Rímac durchquert den Süden des Distrikts in westlicher Richtung. Der Distrikt Callao besitzt einen etwa 17 km langen Abschnitt an der Pazifikküste.
Der Distrikt Callao grenzt im Norden an den Distrikt Ventanilla sowie im Osten an die Distrikte San Martín de Porres und Lima (beide in der Provinz Lima). Im Südosten liegen die Distrikte Carmen de la Legua-Reynoso und Bellavista sowie im äußersten Südwesten der Distrikt La Punta.

Callao is one of the seven districts of the Constitutional Province of Callao in the Callao Region, Peru. The Chillón River marks the district's northern border with Ventanilla. On the east, the Callao district is bordered by the Carmen de la Legua-Reynoso as well as the Lima Province's districts of San Martín de Porres and Lima. The Bellavista and the La Perla districts are located to the southeast, while La Punta borders the district on the west. The Pacific Ocean borders the province on the west and south. At 1956, it expanded to the north, encompassing latifunds, lands and estates that belonged to the San Martín de Porres District and the Carabayllo district.[1] During this expansion, the Jorge Chávez International Airport is built.[2][3]Другой контент может иметь иную лицензию.
