Pindi Said Pur is a village and union council of Jhelum District in the Punjab Province of Pakistan. It is part of Pind Dadan Khan Tehsil. Its most famous personality was Khan Bahadur Diwan Sahib Khan, OBE . He belonged to Martial Janjua Rajput tribe with a noble lineage and royal bloodline . He fought in WW2 and served his country gallantly for which he was given land in Sargodha. He was appointed Honorary magistrate in Pind Dadan Khan . He was a descendant of Royal Rulers of Girjhakh state .He died childless and line of succession passed on to his nephew Diwan Nousherwan Khan, who mostly tended to his lands and did not enter into civil or military services. Similarly his son Diwan Sikandar Hayat lived in Sargodha .His eldest son Diwan Hashmat Hayat migrated to Great Britain and his son's Diwan Shahihryar Khan and Diwan Umaryar Khan live in United Kingdom . Major General Raja Azhar Naveed Hayat Janjua of ISI is a close relative of Diwan Sahib Khan.

Other castes   living here are Khokhar, Arain, Malik, Pathan (Sadozai), Awan, Jandrans, Bhattis, Jats, Muslim Shaikhs, Rajputs, Muhajirs, Tarars & Mussalis.Ajmani's, Saluja's, Sabarwal's, Brahman's, Jokhani's, Alagh's,Katarmal's & Sonar's etc. also lived here before partition [1] It is located at 32°40'0N 73°20'0E with an altitude of 215 metres (708 feet).[2] Islam is the only religion in the town.

Geography


Pindi Saidpur is located just on the edge of Indus plain near Salt range mountains. It is a plain area. The town is located about 3 km south of Salt range and 4.3 km north of Jhelum river. It is approximately 52 km west of Jhelum city and 27 km east of Pind Dadan Khan.It is located 37 km west of Khewra Salt Mine which is second largest salt mine in the world. This village is part of district Jhelum


Politics


The chairman of the UC is Aslam Marath (Late) while Malik Qasim Rehan is the vice chairman, both of whom belong to PTI.
