Batagarawa is a Local Government Area in Katsina State, Nigeria. Its headquarters are in the town of Batagarawa.[1]

History

It is populated by Hausa people and the town is the capital of Mallamawa District in Katsina Emirate, North Western State. The LGA was established in 1991.[2]

It has an area of 433 km² and a population of 184,575 at the 2006 census.
