En 1968, l'ancienne commune indépendante de Bellingwolde a été supprimée. Elle fusionna avec Wedde pour former la nouvelle commune de Bellingwedde.

Bellingwolde ist ein Dorf mit rund 3990 Einwohnern (Stand: 1. Januar 2022)[1] in der Gemeinde Westerwolde in der Provinz Groningen im Nordosten der Niederlande. Das Zentrum des Dorfes ist ein geschütztes Gebiet (niederländisch beschermd dorpsgezicht)[2] mit vielen monumentalen Gebäuden, einschließlich der Magnuskirche, einem Rechthaus, einer Windmühle und zwanzig Bauernhöfe. Das Museum de Oude Wolden ist ein Kunstmuseum mit Wechselausstellungen und einer Dauerausstellung mit Gemälden des magischen Realisten Lodewijk Bruckman.[3]

Bellingwolde (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌbɛlɪŋˈʋɔldə]; Gronings: Bennewolle) is a village with a population of 2,655 people in the municipality Westerwolde in the Netherlands. It is situated in the southeast of the region Oldambt, in the north of the region Westerwolde, and in the east of the province Groningen, at the border with Germany.
