In 2010, the municipality had a total population of 43,179,[1] up from 28,719 in 2005.[2]
In 2010, the city of Berriozábal had a population of 28,128.[1] Other than the city of Berriozábal, the municipality had 485 localities, the largest of which (with 2010 populations in parentheses) were: Santa Inés Buenavista (1,559), Ignacio Zaragoza (1,354), and Las Maravillas (1,339), classified as rural.[1]

El Berriozábal Es una ciudad mexicana perteneciente al estado de Chiapas. Sus actividades principales son la ganadería, la silvicultura, la siembra de maíz y sorgo, actualmente y como principal actividad están el turismo y comercio Dominical, su actividad desde hace muchos años era la fabricación de hamacas ya que antes era zona de producción de ixtle y henequen. Se realizó en este municipio la hamaca más grande de México con más de 30 m de largo. Cuenta además con hermosos viveros con diversidad de flora.[ru] Берриосабаль (муниципалитет)
