Rubano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Padua in the Italian region Veneto, located about 40 kilometres (25 mi) west of Venice and about 7 kilometres (4 mi) northwest of Padua. As of 31 December 2011, it had a population of 15,669 and an area of 14.6 square kilometres (5.6 sq mi).[3]
