Rossiglione (Ligurian: Rosciggion [ɾuʃiˈdʒuŋ], locally Rsciogni[4] [ˈɹʃuɲɲi]/[ɚˈʂᵊʊ̃ɲɲi]) is a comune (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Genoa in the Italian region Liguria, located about 41 kilometres (25 mi) northwest of Genoa.

Asteroid 9101 Rossiglione, discovered by astronomers at the Farra d'Isonzo Observatory in 1996, was named after the Italian village.[6] The official naming citation was published by the Minor Planet Center on 8 November 2019 (M.P.C. 118218).[7]
