Sirik (Persian: سيريك, also Romanized as Sīrīk; also Sirik-e Kohneh (Persian: سيريك کهنه), also Romanized as Sīrīk-e Kohneh)[2] is a city and the capital of Central, in Sirik County, Hormozgan Province, Iran. It overlooks the Strait of Hormuz and contains a small harbour to the northwest of the main settlement. At the 2006 census, its population was 3,640, in 640 families.[3] The Minab River empties into the sea near Sirik, and a mangrove estuary is located here.[4][5] To the northwest along the coast to Bandar-e-Abbas, there are thousands of hidden caves and valleys dotted around the horn of the Strait of Hormuz.[6][7][8]

Sirik (persisch سیریک) oder Sirik-e Kohneh (سیریک کهنه) ist die Hauptstadt des Schahrestan Sirik in der iranischen Provinz Hormozgan. Sirik liegt an der Straße von Hormuz am Persischen Golf und hatg einen kleinen Hafen nordwestlich der Hauptsiedlung. Bei der Volkszählung 2006 betrug die Einwohnerzahl 3640 in 640 Familien[2]. Der Fluss Minab mündet in der Nähe von Sirik ins Meer, und hier befindet sich eine Mangrovenmündung.[3] Im Nordwesten entlang der Küste nach Bandar-e-Abbas gibt es Tausende versteckter Höhlen und Täler, die um das Horn der Straße von Hormuz verstreut sind.[4] 26°30′20″N 57°07′19″O
