Shiraz County (Persian: شهرستان شیراز) is located in Fars province, Iran. The capital of the county is Shiraz. At the 2006 census, the county's population (including those portions of the county later split off to form Kavar County, Kherameh County, Sarvestan County, and Zarqan County) was 1,676,927, in 427,268 families.[1] At the 2016 census, the county's population was 1,869,001.[2]
