Palangabad Rural District (Persian: دهستان پلنگ آباد) is a rural district (dehestan) in Palangabad District, Eshtehard County, Alborz province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population (before the territorial changes of 2012 in connection with Eshtehard County being separated from Karaj County) was 6,613, in 1,903 families; afterward, the population (as of 2006) was 2,978, in 989 families.[1] The rural district has 23 villages.
