Meydan Chay Rural District (Persian: دهستان ميدان چائ) is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Tabriz County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran.[1] At the 2006 census, its population (including Malek Kian, which was subsequently detached from the rural district and promoted to city status) was 51,733, in 13,066 families; excluding Malek Kian, the population in 2006 was 50,667, in 12,797 families.[2] The rural district has 22 villages.
