There is 1 railway Station Makhdumpur Gaya railway station and 1 Halt Wanabar Koteshwarnath Dham is situated in the Makhdumpur Urban Area. It is 11km towards south-East from the main town. There are many man-made caves in this hilly region which built by the kings of Maurya empire.Lomas Rishi Cave/Satgharva Cave is the most famous cave of the Barabar Caves.The Barabar Hill Caves are the oldest surviving rock-cut caves in India, dating from the Maurya Empire (322–185 BCE).
