Sankt Augustin ist eine Stadt im Rhein-Sieg-Kreis, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Deutschland. Sie entstand bei der nordrhein-westfälischen Gebietsreform 1969 durch die Auflösung des Amtes Menden und liegt im Verdichtungsraum Bonn. Namensgeber ist der Schutzpatron der ansässigen Steyler Missionare, der heilige Augustinus (354–430). Sankt Augustin gehört zur Wirtschaftsregion Bonn/Rhein-Sieg sowie zur Wissenschaftsregion Bonn und ist mit über 55.000 Einwohnern die zweitgrößte Stadt im Rhein-Sieg-Kreis.

Sankt Augustin (Ripuarian: Sank Aujustin) is a town in the Rhein-Sieg district, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is named after the patron saint of the Divine Word Missionaries, Saint Augustine of Hippo (354-430). The Missionaries established a monastery near the current town centre in 1913. The municipality of Sankt Augustin was established in 1969, and on September 6, 1977 Sankt Augustin acquired town privileges (German: Stadtrechte).[3] Sankt Augustin is situated about eight km north-east of Bonn and three km south-west of Siegburg.
