    Heimbach ist eine Stadt im Kreis Düren in der Rureifel und gemessen an der Bevölkerungszahl die kleinste Stadt und die kleinste Gemeinde in Nordrhein-Westfalen.[2] Ihr Stadtkern hatte am 31. Juli 2017 insgesamt 1083 Einwohner und ist ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel im Nationalpark Eifel.
