Storia


L'arrondissement di Lure venne creato nel 1800.[3] Nel gennaio 2017 ottenne cinque comuni da parte dell'Arrondissement di Vesoul, in cambio di tre comuni dati ad esso.

A seguito della riorganizzazione dei cantoni della Francia, entrata in vigore nel 2015, i confini dei cantoni non sono più collegati ai confini degli arrondissement.
