The municipality has a population of 2,431 (31 December 2021)[6] and covers an area of 769.20 square kilometres (296.99 sq mi) of which 184.52 km2 (71.24 sq mi) is water.[1] The population density is 4.16 inhabitants per square kilometre (10.8/sq mi).
