Nordby is located on the island of Fanø (part of the Danish Wadden Sea Islands), by the North Sea and not too far from the city of Esbjerg.
Nordby Church was built in 1786 and has long been a church for ships people of the Reformed Church religion. Typical for the North Sea island Fanø with two churches there is that the buildings do not have large church towers. In the church of Nordby is an exhibition of numerous ship models.
