Řevnice (Czech pronunciation: [ˈr̝ɛvɲɪtsɛ]) is a town in Prague-West District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 3,600 inhabitants.

Geography

Řevnice lies about 16 kilometres (10 mi) southwest of Prague. It lies on both banks of the river Berounka. Most of the town is located in the Brdy Highlands, the northern part of the municipal territory is located in the Hořovice Uplands.

History

The first written mention of Řevnice is from 1253.[2]
