Jankov lies approximately 13 kilometres (8 mi) west of České Budějovice and 125 km (78 mi) south of Prague.
The village of Holašovice is an administrative part of Jankov.
Holašovice is a small historic village, since 1998 designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of its exceptional preservation of a traditional Baroque-era village.[2]
