Till 2011 census, Gornji Srb was independent settlement. It was unified with settlement of Donji Srb in new settlement of Srb. As independent settlement it included hamlets of Gornji Srb, Nadurljaj, Podastrana and Podmeđeđak.

Note: Settlements of Donji Srb and Gornji Srb are administratively recognized as independent settlements in 1890 and 1900, and then from 1948-2001. From 1857-1880, and 1910-1931 it was part of that time independent settlement of Srb, for which data is include in former settlement of Donji Srb. In 2011 it finished its existence as independent settlement and became part of newformed settlement of Srb.
