The municipality contains part of the 84,130 hectares (207,900 acres) Serra do Tabuleiro State Park, a protected area created in 1975. The lushly-forested park protects the sources of the Vargem do Braço, Cubatão and D'Una rivers, which supply most of the drinking water for greater Florianópolis and the south coast region.[6]

Имаруи (порт. Imaruí) — муниципалитет в Бразилии, входит в штат Санта-Катарина. Составная часть мезорегиона Юг штата Санта-Катарина. Находится в составе крупной городской агломерации Агломерация Тубаран. Входит в экономико-статистический микрорегион Тубаран. Население составляет 11 906 человек на 2006 год. Занимает площадь 542,236 км². Плотность населения — 22,0 чел./км².
