Linowiec [liˈnɔvjɛt͡s] (German: Lienfitz) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Starogard Gdański, within Starogard County, Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) north-west of Starogard Gdański and 40 km (25 mi) south of the regional capital Gdańsk. It is located within the ethnocultural region of Kociewie in the historic region of Pomerania.

The village has a population of 363.

Linowiec was a royal village of the Polish Crown, administratively located in the Tczew County in the Pomeranian Voivodeship.[2]

During the German occupation of Poland (World War II), the Germans murdered local Polish teachers in the Szpęgawski Forest (see Intelligenzaktion).[3]
